Notre Dame celebrates (ND Athletics)
From a national perspective, it’s important not to look past Notre Dame. A year removed from a College World Series appearance, and two seasons removed from a strong showing at the Starkville Super Regional, Notre Dame improved to 13-9 by winning five of their last six games which included a series win over a ranked Louisville squad.
The Irish have had their mettle tested several times already this year and they’ve proven they have the mental fortitude to pull out close, tightly played ballgames. While they lost their series at Wake Forest they salvaged game three with a 3-1 victory.[…]
