Bally Sports expected to sever ties with the Reds
The New York Post is reporting that Bally Sports is expected to “reject” the contracts of four Major League Baseball teams later this week when they officially file for bankruptcy. The Cincinnati Reds are one of those teams. We wrote about how many of the things could play out earlier today, but there is still a lot of unknown involved given that nothing is official at this point.
Nick Senzel won’t play in games this week
Nick Senzel is expected to be out for the start of the season. No injury setback, but he’s no longer scheduled to play in a spring training game this week. Reds don’t want to rush him if he’ll miss Opening Day anyway.

On February 14th manager David Bell noted that Nick Senzel was “ready to go” when spring training opened up. A month later he’s still not playing in games. Bell has not been very good at providing remotely accurate timelines when it comes to player returns. It’s probably time that we start taking those from him with a grain of salt.
