FRISCO, Texas — Ohio State was crowned champion of the 2023 Frisco Classic after beating Oklahoma 12-9 on Sunday. The Buckeyes and Sooners both finished 2-1 on the weekend, but Ohio State earned the title by virtue of the head-to-head tie-breaker. Both Mississippi State and California finished 1-2, after the Bulldogs took down the Golden Bears 8-4 on Sunday.
It was a fun weekend with great weather, strong crowds and plenty of offense. All four participant teams are works in progress that could wind up as regional teams if their pitching comes together, or could struggle in conference play if[…]
