NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The American Baseball Coaches Association Convention is always the unofficial start to every college baseball season, and this year’s event saw record turnout both at the convention itself and at the Division I Business Meeting.
With the NCAA Division I Council and Transformation Committee convening at the NCAA’s Annual Convention this week in San Antonio, many topics were at the forefront. Most importantly, the D1 Council is expected to vote on legislation that would turn every volunteer position in college athletics into a full-time coaching position, thus giving college baseball three full-time paid assistants instead of two.[…]
