Kike Hernandez Reacts To Justin Turner’s Statement To Ultimately Sign With Red Sox

The choice to find a new team became much easier for Justin Turner. Other than wanting to continue his playing career, Kiké Hernandez was a huge driving force to bring Turner to the Red Sox.

Justin Turner acknowledges that Kiké Hernández was front and center in Boston’s recruiting push, and admits his former and now current teammate had a lot to do with him winding up with Sox.

This comes as no surprise as the two spent six seasons together with the Dodgers and played in three World Series and won one together. The bond goes much deeper when you battle through the trenches and come out on top.

The value that Turner brings to any ball club goes further than his abilities on the field. The Dodgers will surely miss him but Kiké couldn’t be happier to see his teammate once again.

In response to Turner saying Kiké was a huge reason to sign with the Red Sox, Kiké went as far as to call Turner one of the best teammates of his career. Kiké believes he would not be where is today without Turner’s help.

In Kiké first season with the team, Turner had already been in the league for seven seasons. Kiké was just getting his career started so it’s no doubt that Turner easily took him under his wing to teach him everything he knows.

Now it’s time for Kiké to give back to Turner who only has so many seasons left. Turner will still be able to hold his own as he’s done his entire career and Dodgers fans will want to keep their eye on the Red Sox.
