The Dodgers (and the rest of MLB) haven’t had a normal spring training since 2019. In 2020, of course, the pandemic hit in early March and shut everything down. In 2021, we were still feeling the effects of the pandemic so spring training for fans was limited. And last year, the lockout delayed the start of spring training and ultimately shortened it.
In 2023, everyone is hoping for and looking forward to a relatively normal spring training. To that end, the official spring training schedule has been release for Camelback Ranch, the complex L.A. shares with the White Sox for their spring activities.
If you’ve never done spring training in Arizona before, it’s a really cool experience. If you want to see as many Dodger games as possible, it’s nice to know that even when they’re on the road, they’re no more than an hour or so away from their home in Glendale. For example, you could go for the week of March 5-11 and see five Los Angeles games at Camelback Ranch, plus a quick 20-minute drive to see them play the Brewers in Phoenix on Tuesday and 35-minute drive to see them play the A’s in Mesa on Thursday.
And don’t forget — the games are only one small part of the spring training experience! You can access the back fields at Camelback every morning absolutely free, where you can watch the team work out, try to get autographs, and venture even farther back to watch the minor leaguers play their spring games.
