Of course, Skylar Meade always has a spring in his step, even when he’s bounding out of the dugout and running to make a routine mound visit. His energy and enthusiasm are relentless and infectious, which is a big reason the 38-year-old has ridden the coaching fast track, having served already as a pitching coach in the Big Ten and SEC, and now entering his second season as head coach at Troy.
