LOS ANGELES. — It’s really weird to see the cycle of regime change that has happened to the USC baseball program since Mike Gillespie was released as head coach following the 2006 season. The most historically successful baseball program in college baseball has continued to struggle through Chad Kreuter (four years), Frank Cruz (two years), Dan Hubbs (seven seasons) and Jason Gill (three seasons). In those 16 seasons, the Trojans have had just two winning seasons, one season of 30-plus wins and one season of making the NCAA Tournament.
